Life is super busy right now! Working full time, trying to serve in all of the summer activities, do fun stuff with the family, visit with friends, exercise, run the kiddo to camps and birthday parties, the list is never ending. What happened to the lazy days of summer?! Can anyone relate?

I had such high hopes for this spring, one of which was writing another study, but my life has just gone into hyper-speed since March. I hate not being able to follow-through on the original plan, but I guess God had other plans. Regardless, He is in control even when I feel out of control.

I am reminded of Mark 4:30 "He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, 'Quiet! Be still!' Then the wind died down and it was completely calm." God brings order out of chaos and calms the storm.

Oh that He would calm the chaos that I often times cause. This is my prayer. How about you? Are you needing a little calm in your life right now? Do you need to give a gentle no, instead of a resounding yes? Or maybe a cry of Quiet! Be Still! commanding yourself or perhaps the enemy to knock it off.

In an attempt to carve out that quiet, and to study even in small snippets, I'm going to post on Fridays, calling it Faithful Friday. My hope is that this will be a place where we can all re-charge, unwind, and read a bit of encouragement to start our weekend with a plan to be faithful to whatever God is calling us to. Even if that means rest instead of doing one more good thing.

Will you join me for #FaithfulFriday?
